Inspired by NaNoWriMo, Wisconsin Novel Writing Month (WiNoWriMo) will take place January 2026. Writers of all ages and types are encouraged to join us for an event filled month that will challenge you to write a novel or make serious progress toward your writing goals.
Why Now?
Members of Just Write Milwaukee expressed interest in participating in an event like this and NaNoWriMo has officially shut down as of 2025, so this inaugural WiNoWriMo was born. We haven’t been working alone though. Below are the Wisconsin-based writing organizations that have been generous enough to support the event with their time, event coordination, and promotion.
